Barbara's Training

    When Barbara graduated from her first cake class, the instructor informed her that she has a talent from God! In 1975,  she demonstrated cakes for Sanger's in the downtown Dallas, Preston Center, & Valley View stores.

She taught cake decorating @ Sanger Harris in the Preston Center location.

Barbara  has taught cake decorating  previously in New Orleans,  Louisiana  &  has demonstrated cake decorating on the cooking stages for the Infomart (located in Dallas) and the Fort Worth Convention Center. 

She has demonstrated cakes @ several schools, women's clubs, & churches.

Basic Cake Decorating I and II, Advanced Cake Decorating, French Pastries, Marzipan and Chocolate Candies, Royal Icing Lattice-Work, Gum Paste Flowers, & Rolled Fondant Icing. The baker's training included: European breads, baklavas, danish pastries, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes, & pies.

 2' Tall Gingerbread Houses in Competition

Barbara had a 2' tall gingerbread House on a TV commercial with Southwest Airlines & Ronald McDonald House Charities. It aired from California to New York during the holidays. The commercial was about several  children  standing  around a gingerbread house attempting to decorate it. They had tons of icing & candy to help with. After the press found out & printed an article about the little guy (bakery) going big, several people wanted her autograph.

Imagine that!

Barbara was interviewed by the Why Guy on Channel 8 around 5 am one morning with one of her gingerbread houses in-tow. 

We won 1 Silver & 3 Bronze Medals.

This cake was seen on

the Channel 5 News.

It was the 100th

birthday cake for

the city of

 Grand Prairie, Tx.

 Troy Dungan's retirement cakes which were seen on Channel 8. George Riba & Pete Delkus were fighting over who would get the biggest piece! LOL

One of our wedding cakes was featured on the Channel 5's DFW Today Show.  

Cakes for Ruthe

On the top left is a pic of Grand Prairie's Mayor Pro-Tem, Ruthe Jackson, holding her 90th birthday cake @ the Ruthe Jackson Center. Barbara decorated a   replica  (top right) of the Center in cake. After making that cake, she interviewed Barbara and Karl on her cable show: What's Happening in Grand Prairie. One year, Ruthe presented Barbara & cake to the Commissioner's Court in downtown Dallas. Barbara had her picture taken between John Wiley Price & Ken Mayfield. The judge at-the-time  was Judge Jackson.  For the finale,  Ruthe asked Barbara to present the judge with the cake. Well, Judge Jackson shoved his chair back and threw his arms out because he thought Barbara  was going to shove the cake in his face!    lol

 Barbara's Basic Cake Decorating Class!

 On the left is a pic of the kit, icing, bag, certificate, & instructions for our basic cake decorating class. On the right is 1# of our homemade buttercreme frosting. You will be shown how to ice a round cake and how to make dots, stars, shells, leaf work, figure piping, writing, roses, carnations, daisies, & mums.

It is up to you to practice!

FYI: Start squeezing a rubber ball "NOW" to build up your strength for decorating.

The classes are usually held on a Monday during the morning hours.  Barbara teaches PRIVATE lessons only at-this-time! Call to set up your appointment for your lesson soon!

These cakes come in sugar free white or sugar free chocolate. They are frosted in a sugar free whipped topping. We offer 1/4th to 1/2 sheet cakes. They are made with Aspertame & Sorbitol. Too much may cause a laxative effect.

This heart tray comes with 1 dozen assorted dipped strawberries. You may request all one design in advance.
