Homemade Creme Cheese (creamy yellow color),
Dark Chocolate Fudge,
German Chocolate,
Milk Chocolate Buttercreme,
Pink Strawberry Buttercreme,
& White Buttercreme.

 FYI: Barbara uses Satin Ice Fondant on her fondant cakes. It taste GREAT! Come in & see our thick album of Thank You notes.

Barbara was invited on one of the Culinary Olympic Teams to represent the USA in wedding cake competition located in Berlin, Germany. According to Ali Zoube of the Texas Chef's Association, the Germans changed the date from September to December; therefore, our team had to pull out of the competition.

We still feel it was quite an honor to be invited on the team!

Barbara's Cake Flavors:

Banana (made with fresh bananas),
Carrot (with raisins, coconut, & pecans),
Crushed Pineapple (baked with crushed pineapple inside),
Dark Chocolate (this cake is for the chocolate lover),
Italian Creme (with coconut & pecans in the batter),
Lemon (baked with lemon zest),
Red Velvet (red cake in the chocolate family),
Strawberry ( baked with concentrated strawberry filling),
Wedding White (this award-winning batter is a big seller!)

 We take wedding cake orders 1-5 months in advance.

Cakes range from $2 - $5 per slice (for pick-up orders).  

Come by the shop and sample some of our award-winning cakes.

 FYI: Barbara is usually available from 9 am - 2 pm; Tuesday - Saturday.

We make custom bride and groom cakes. Any of the pictures you see may scale up or down to fit your wedding needs. We offer delivery & set up for an additional fee. (Barbara & Karl personally deliver your cakes and set them up!)

 One of Barbara's brides called from Miami, Florida to order a wedding cake because she was getting married in the DFW metroplex. She wanted Pink Gerber Daisies out of fondant icing. They must be prepared in advance to dry. Barbara did not have a color swatch to match the color so she just prayed that the color would be correct. The day of the wedding the bride drove in to pick up her bridal cakes. She took one look and started crying then proceeded to run out of the shop. Well, that can go one way or the other! She was either unhappy or very happy with her cakes. Thank God she was of the latter persuasion. She had gone to her car to bring in her bouquet; and the flowers matched perfectly! Go God! This has happened several times where the cakes matched perfectly.

The 2010 Taste of Grand Prairie will be held @ the QuikTrip Park on September 23. The cost is only $10 or less. You want to purchase your tickets early! 

They will probably run out.

Bring the whole family for a fun night of prizes & all-you-can-eat from the different vendors. We will pass out cakes, cookies, & strawberries in chocolate candy.  Maybe some frosted grapes? See you there!  Don't forget to vote for Barbara's!
